A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Antofagasta, Chile on Monday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said. The quake was at a depth of 93 km (57.79 miles), EMSC said.
Antofagasta PLC (LSE:ANTO) has restarted operations at its Los Pelambres copper mine in Chile after heavy rainfall and power outages forced a shutdown. The FTSE 100 miner said the processing plant and mining operations resumed on Thursday following "intense precipitation" that began late on Saturday 18 July.
