Frequently Asked Questions

When will the earnings be released?

There are usually four earnings dates per year. Most companies release their earnings in January, April, July and October. However, the period depends on the company's financial year or fiscal year, which does not always have to follow the calendar year exactly.

Where can you see the earnings?

You can see the earnings on every stock overview page in the financial data section. They also appear on the Investor Relations (IR) websites of the companies. The earnings release is often broadcast live. In the StocksGuide you will find analyst estimates on every analysts page.

What is EPS?

The EPS or earnings per share metric shows the absolute proportion of a share in the company's net profit. This is often estimated by analysts for each quarter. You can view the estimate on our analysts pages.

What are earnings releases?

Companies that are stock corporations are generally obliged to inform shareholders about business developments on a quarterly basis. The earnings are released as part of this process. Revenue, profit and other exciting metrics are part of the earnings (you can find more information here).

An earnings release always represents the development of the past three months. Earnings are often released before the stock market opens or after it closes.
