Airtel Africa PLC (LSE:AAF) has formally moved ahead with plans to float its mobile money business in London, paving the way for Airtel Money to become an independently listed company. Airtel Mobile Commerce, which operates as Airtel Money, intends to apply for admission to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.
Airtel Money, the mobile money arm of Airtel Africa , intends to file for an initial public offering in London, it said on Wednesday, marking a potential turning point for a market that has faced a prolonged slowdown in new listings.
