German skincare company Beiersdorf has no plans to leave Russia, its chief ​executive said on Tuesday, arguing the company needed ‌to remain in the country to protect the Nivea brand after a dispute

German consumer goods maker Beiersdorf marginally missed market expectations ​for third-quarter sales growth ‌on Tuesday, as temporary weakness in sales to retailers weighed ​on its Nivea ​brand.

Nivea-maker Beiersdorf said conflict in the Middle East is disrupting ​both sales and deliveries in key Gulf markets, ‌highlighting how geopolitical tensions continue to affect consumer-goods companies operating in the region.

Beiersdorf trimmed ​its guidance ‌on Monday and now ​expects ​an organic sales ⁠decline ​in the ​low-single digit percentage range this ​year.
