Private Capital Management ("PCM") was established in 1986 with the sole purpose of investing in intrinsic value. The corporation may then selectively invest in those companies that are selling at valuation discounts of 40% or more by addressing each transaction with a due diligence process that seeks a complete understanding of a business; its risks and possibilities, and ultimately its true intrinsic worth. In contrast to many other managers, PCM is eager to invest in compelling value opportunities of all sizes.
