Microsoft Corporation develops and supports software, services, devices, and solutions worldwide. The Productivity and Business Processes segment includes Office, Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Office 365 Security and Compliance, Microsoft Viva, and Microsoft 365 Copilot, as well as end-user Office services, such as Microsoft 365 consumer subscriptions, on-premises licensed Office, and other Office services. This segment also includes LinkedIn and Dynamics enterprise solutions, including Dynamics 365, a suite of intelligent cloud-based applications for ERP, CRM, Power Apps and Power Automate, as well as on-premises ERP and CRM applications. The Intelligent Cloud segment includes server products and cloud services such as Azure and other cloud services, SQL and Windows Server, Visual Studio, System Center and related client access licences, as well as Nuance and GitHub and enterprise services such as Enterprise Support, line of business solutions and Nuance Professional Services. The More Personal Computing segment includes Windows, including Windows OEM licences and other non-volume licences for the Windows operating system; Windows Commercial, including volume licences for the Windows operating system, Windows cloud services and other commercial Windows offerings; patent licences; Windows Internet of Things and devices such as Surface, HoloLens and PC accessories. In addition, this segment offers games, including Xbox hardware and content and original and third-party content, Xbox Game Pass and other subscriptions, cloud gaming, advertising, royalties for third-party discs and other cloud services, and search engine and news advertising, including Bing, Microsoft News and Edge, as well as third-party advertising. The company distributes its products through OEMs, distributors and resellers, as well as directly through digital marketplaces, online and in retail stores. Founded in 1975 by Paul Gardner Allen and William Henry Gates, the company is headquartered in Redmond, WA.
