SÃO PAULO, Aug. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- EMBRAER S.A. (NYSE: ERJ; B3: EMBR3) RELEASES ITS SECOND QUARTER 2025 EARNINGS RESULTS.

Brazilian planemaker Embraer on Tuesday reported a second-quarter adjusted net loss of $4.7 million, down from a profit of $80.4 million a year earlier.

Embraer dodged a bullet on Wednesday when U.S. President Donald Trump excluded aircraft from the steeper tariffs he imposed on many Brazilian goods, sparing the planemaker from a potential pandemic-like hit to its revenue.

Brazil's government has asked the U.S. to exclude food products and Embraer's aircraft from the 50% tariff it plans to impose on Brazilian goods starting August 1, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.

The recent 20% drop in shares reflects fear, not fundamentals, creating an opportunity for investors who are truly informed about the case. 50% tariffs are threatening, but the company may be able to secure exceptions, as has happened in previous agreements. Embraer's strategic presence in the US could mitigate the impact. There appears to be no intention to harm the companies.
