After SpaceX imposed speed limits on Starlink that hampered Ukraine's military operations, Kyiv is looking for alternatives. Finnish mobile giant Nokia and satellite maker ICEYE signed a letter of intent with Ukraine's Ministry of Defense on Thursday to develop new satellite capabilities.

Nokia (NOK) recorded strong Q3 earnings on Thursday, but investors found reasons to sell. Revenue came in up 10% on a year-over-year basis to €5.154 billion, while comparable operating profit jumped to €605 million – a much better-than-expected 35% increase.

Sales in network infrastructure—the unit that houses AI and data-center networking technology—rose 17% on year, driven by demand from AI and cloud customers in the Americas.
